Excellent maps and GPS functionality. A great navigational tool without data roaming costs.

No GPS, no Underground Stations, no Adress numbers. Useless!

Of all the London map apps I tested this one is the best. Why? Fast GPS location, tube stations marked, good resolution, huge area covered (many others cover the inner city only). The fifth star will be added when ALL streets are named.

Offline searching is a nice idea and the reason I chose this app over others, but this app doesnt zoom enough and its hard to read street names, which are only given for major roads. Too bad. This sounded promising.

It shows bus stops, but it doesnt show tube stations, which is something of a disappointment.

The smartmaps app for London, UK was incredibly helpful to us on our trip!  We had downloaded a couple of apps and ended up using this one the most.  Every attraction, street and tube station we wanted to see or use was there when we searched for it. Being able to see more than one bookmark pin on the screen at one time was INCREDIBLY helpful!  It was the only app that allowed that which we had.  It really made our trips into London worry free and manageable. There are only couple of minor things I wish it did.  I wish it could have told me the best route (on foot or by tube) to get from one bookmark to another.  I also wish it could have had a compass in it so we could figured out which way we were facing!  We could only use free wi-fi as we walked around so Im not sure if a compass feature was available.  I wished the tube stations were marked by the tube icons so theyre quick and easy to find. They are there, you just need to know to look for the train icon next to the tube name. All in all, a GREAT app and I would definitely use another one from this company and recommend it to anyone travelling.

Ive got more than one city map from these guys. Like the bookmarking, very much like that you can do a search on sights/buildings as well and quite a few of them come up. Agree that adding tube stations would be really helpful. And if you were REALLY ambitious, the rent-a-cycles!

For London, this has all the detail needed. Even small streets are marked--and searchable. (The same person makes apps for other cities. The map for Munich ミュンヘン was not as detailed.)

Finally the tube stations are labeled! After this most recent update this is now the best app to have in London. If you want to avoid crazy data charges but still want to know where you are and how to get where you are going look no further. This app is amazing. You can search streets, landmarks, and pretty much anything that well help you get where you are going. The new book mark feature is cool too. I dont know how the GPS tracking works cause I use it without internet, but this app gets my vote. I also got the Dublin and Edinburgh versions of this app and they work just as well! Good job guys!

Basically this is a paper map on your phone. I wasnt very impressed at all with it - couldnt type in addresses only street names. Didnt find there were all the obvious landmarks on the map either. Used it for the offline ability but I wouldnt recommend this to someone who needs directions or the ability to put two points in and have it tell you how to get between those places.

This thing pretty much does not work without an internet connection. Ive tried to use it several times following their instructions,,,minus the "Use the internet" and i still have not been able to locate myself. The whole idea of an offline map in London is to save you from having to pay for international roaming...this is not the program for that...Total waste unless you just want a map.

I am in London and needed a map. Would not down load two different wifi connections. Now the want me to download it when I get home. I wont need a London map in NH. Dont waste your money.

Didnt used to, but now it cant stop

For my purposes it was a great app. Easy to use and it let me locate metro stops, restaurants and important buildings. It doesnt do turn by turn, so if you cant read a basic map get something else(and spend ten times more). But if you dont want to depend a fortune and pay for data roaming, buy this.

Needed a map to zoom into all streets. This app only identifies major streets

Its fine I guess, but seriously lacking in small businesses.
